What is a system
System
A series of interacting elements that are deeply interconnected, interrelated and interdependent with other elements. A physical or abstract boundary is what allows a system to function, setting rules inside the system to achieve a specific purpose. Elements outside this boundary called the environment can still interact with elements inside the system, but due to rules and boundaries (some physical) set by the system, it causes less interaction with these outside elements.
Type of system
Your life is an open system, since elements inside your system interact with other systems, such as weather systems and other biological systems.
Tame System
A computer is a tame system, since the amount of interrelated and interconnected elements inside the system is small, as well as the interactions it has with the outside environmental elements.
Root Cause Analysis (RCA) can be used to determine why a tame system may not be achieving its purpose or intended output.
Complex System
A biological system has billions, possibly trillions of deeply interconnected, interrelated and interdependent cells and other elements. All of which also interacts with the outside environment on many levels of complexity.
Because a complex system cannot be defined by its parts, only a mixture or RCA and Synthesis can be used to rectify any unintended outputs that the system is generating (a biological organism feeling ill)
